Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms are the agreement between you and Pavlo Golovatyy, Via Papa Giovanni XXIII, 3, 66020 San Giovanni Teatino (CH), Italy (“Syntra”, “we”, “us”), for the use of Syntra: the AI assistant on WhatsApp, your Syntra account at app.asksyntra.com and this website. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. What Syntra is

Syntra is an AI assistant you use through WhatsApp. It can search the web, work on files you send, create images and videos, learn your skills and, if you connect them, help you with Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. Your Syntra account at app.asksyntra.com is where you manage your profile and connections.

Syntra is in early access: features may be added, changed or removed as we improve it.

2. Who can use Syntra

You must be at least 16 years old. By using Syntra you confirm that you are, and that you accept these terms.

3. Your account

  • Your Syntra account is tied to your WhatsApp account. You sign in to app.asksyntra.com with one-time links that Syntra sends you in the chat. Don't share them: anyone who opens a valid link can access your account.
  • Keep your phone and WhatsApp account secure. You are responsible for what is done through your account, unless it happens without any fault on your part.
  • If you think someone else is using your account, tell us right away at [email protected].

4. Price and limits

  • Syntra is free during early access.
  • Fair-use limits apply so Syntra stays available to everyone. Today each user can create up to 20 images and 60 seconds of video a day, reset at midnight UTC. We may change these limits.
  • We may introduce paid plans in the future. We'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you will never be charged unless you choose a paid plan and accept its terms.

5. Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive

  • Connecting Google is optional. You choose which services to connect, and you can turn each one off or disconnect Google at any time, from your Syntra account or your Google Account.
  • Syntra sends emails, creates, changes or deletes calendar events, answers invitations and uploads files to Drive only after you tap to confirm on a card that shows the details. Check the card before you tap: once confirmed, the action is carried out in your account as if you had done it yourself, and a sent email can't be recalled.
  • Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms. How we handle Google data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Syntra to:

  • break the law or infringe the rights of others, including copyright, privacy and image rights;
  • create or share content that sexualizes, harms or exploits minors in any way;
  • create nudity or sexual content, or intimate images of anyone;
  • create realistic images or videos of real people in false, sexual, compromising, violent or humiliating situations, or to deceive (fake news, fake endorsements, impersonation);
  • create fake documents, IDs, banknotes or official logos meant to pass as real, or to commit fraud, phishing or scams;
  • create gore, harass or threaten anyone, or promote violence, terrorism or hatred;
  • send spam or unsolicited emails through your connected Gmail;
  • run malware, mine cryptocurrency, attack or scan other systems, or otherwise misuse the sandbox or our infrastructure;
  • get around limits, safety measures or content filters, or try to access other users' data or Syntra's internal systems;
  • share other people's personal data with Syntra without the right to do so.

Syntra may refuse requests that break these rules. You also remain bound by WhatsApp's and Google's terms for your use of their services.

7. Your content

  • What you send to Syntra (messages, files, instructions and skills) stays yours. You allow us to store, process and transmit it, also through our providers, only as needed to provide Syntra to you and as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You confirm that you have the right to share it, including any personal data of other people it contains.

8. AI-generated content

  • Syntra uses artificial intelligence. Its replies, summaries, translations, images, videos and files can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and the same request can give different results. Check important information before you rely on it or share it.
  • Syntra doesn't give professional advice: for medical, legal, financial or other professional matters, ask a qualified professional.
  • As far as the law allows, you may use what Syntra creates for you as you like, including commercially, and we claim no ownership of it. Generated content may not be protected by copyright and may resemble content created for others. You are responsible for how you use it, and for making sure it doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
  • Images and videos made by Syntra are AI-generated. When you share them, don't present them as real where that could mislead anyone, and label them as AI-generated where the law requires it (for example realistic “deepfakes” under the EU AI Act).
  • Search results and web pages come from third-party sites that we don't control.

9. Your files

Syntra is not a backup service. Files you send and files Syntra makes are deleted automatically after 90 days, and download links expire after 7 days: keep your own copies of anything important.

10. Third-party services

Syntra relies on services from others, such as WhatsApp, Google and our AI and hosting providers. We are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make, which may limit or stop some features.

11. Availability and changes to Syntra

We work to keep Syntra running well, but as a free early-access service it may be interrupted, limited or changed, for example for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control. If we decide to discontinue Syntra, we'll give you reasonable notice when possible, so you can save your files.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using Syntra at any time, and ask us to delete your data by writing to [email protected].
  • We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users, third parties or Syntra. Where appropriate, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless the law or safety reasons prevent it.

13. Liability

Syntra is provided free of charge and “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law, including the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo).

We are liable under the law for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for death or personal injury. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, for the loss of data you could have kept yourself, for actions you confirmed (such as an email you approved), or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or plans. We'll tell you about important changes at least 15 days in advance, in the chat or on this site; if you don't agree, you can stop using Syntra. Changes required by law or for security may apply sooner.

15. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer, disputes go before the court of the place where you live, as provided by law. Before going to court, write to [email protected]: we'll try to solve the problem together.

If a provision of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
